Why hasn’t Minecraft added limestone?

It’s incredibly shocking to me as a long-time player that for all the real stones they’ve added to the game, they still haven’t added limestone. It’s found in basically all Mediterranean architecture IRL, it’s actually feasible for a player to mine it, and there’s no block that quite matches its color.

I don’t think any blocks are viable substitutes, including sandstone, so why haven’t we gotten it yet?
