Why does everyone have a two-week Minecraft Phase?

Genuinely curious because I myself am going through that phase right now. I don’t know any other game where their playerbase goes through this.

Also, why are the gaps between these Minecraft Phases 6-12+ Months? Its like everyone has the random yearly urge to get addicted to Minecraft.
