Why are Frog lights so complicated

Ok title say it all, but why! Why are these blocks so hard to get! I’m expected to breed 3 different types of frogs and then drag them into the nether all in the hopes they eat a magma cube! It’s so much, and just making a farm annoys me. Someone please tell this complicated process is just a cover up because I refuse to believe this was someone’s bright idea. (Pun)
