What is still missing for the Villager Trade Rebalance to be better than Status Quo?

So far Mojang added the following crucial components:

Finding Biomes
- With the Villager Trade Rebalance (VTR) you can buy biome finder maps from Map Villagers (and easily find the nearest Swamp Biome for example)
Villager Transport
- In 1.21 we can send carts with villagers via nether
- In 1.21 we can leash boats and easily transport 2 villagers at once (to start villager breeding)
Alternatives for Mending with VTR
- Ancient City chests have massively increased Mending Loot Chance
Removed RNG
- With VTR books like Mending and Fortune are now guaranteed when your Librarian reaches Master Level

So, with all these changes in mind, what is still missing for the VTR to be more fun than the Status Quo?
