What do you think is the best antivirus for your PC? Do you think antivirus software is really necessary?

Really depends on what you're doing, but windows antivirus is usually enough :) on chrome u-block origin is GREAT though

I use BitDefender.
If you want something that's overly-protective, it's BitDefender.

Works for almost all use cases.

Not necessary. Not use antivirus and never have get problem (even windefender are not used). Just not run software from untrusted website. Not run any from discord and other and you will be fine.
Need brain, not antivirus.

And if need antivirus, use kaspersky, probably one of the best.

I just have faith in God and that's it, no antivirus, no Windows Defender, just nothing and I hope I don't get hacked lol.

I am using AVG AntiVirus Free Edition. I tested a bunch of antivirus software and found AVG AntiVirus to be one of the most thorough and light on system resourves. However, lately I am getting pop-ups saying "Threat secured - We prevented your connection to <website> because it is a dangerous webpage. Threat category: URL:Malvertising". I scanned my system with various virusscanners but nothing is detected. I have read complaints about current products of AVG and rumors that they've been taken over. If things continue to develop this way then AVG AntiVirus has had it's longest time on my system.

Windows defender is enough and mac usually has good security features in-built. Rest depends on user activity. Best practice is to avoid download unnecessary stuff of the internet and you'll be good.
