We need ambience in Minecraft. They added it to the Nether, now we need it everywhere.

Basically, I want ambience everywhere in Minecraft. I also want it to be dynamic depending on the biome, time of day, Y level, and coverage.

For example:

Birds chirping in a jungle, crickets at night, howling wind up high, ambience muffled when indoors.

When playing alone do you ever feel uneasy and feel pressure from the silence? It’s because of a lack of ambience. This simple thing would make the game feel so much more alive and feel less scary to play.

The dynamics of it also just make it more realistic and interactive. Imagine building a base high up on a snowy mountain. It’s super windy, but when you go inside and shut the door, the wind becomes super muffled and you’ve got a nice cozy fireplace inside. You hear the howling of the wind from beyond the walls while relaxing by the fire.

It would be great if this update also came with general noise physics, so that campfire would be muffled from the outside of the base. Or a zombie outside would be muffled while inside. Just something simple like that. If you wanted to take it a step further, you could also add echoing and reverb depending on the environment, so you could hear spiders echoing through the tunnels of a cave or something. It would be amazing.

So what I want from this is ambience everywhere in the game, and also dynamic ambience. I hope this happens one day.
