Using BB Code in a template

Hello,
When using {{ bb_code($post.message, 'post', $post) }} , Is there an option to hide the attachments?
Currently, the attachments are not displayed. Instead we have a link with the text: "View attachment 1677".
I'd like to hide that link.
Is there a way to do so?
