I feel like 1.21 is a framework for new more in depth dungeon exploration etc
Let's say they wanted to update the end, this gives them blocks and mechanics to make some really cool structures.
Let's say they wanted to make a revamped stronghold or nether fortress. Again this gives them tools to do that etc
I'm not saying they will but the Trial Chambers seem like an experiment for bigger things.
From the Breeze to the Vault.
This feels like a basis to go off of. Especially since in 1.20 we got the last of the postponed 1.19 features.
I feel like they learned that before promising things they need to have a foundation to build off of.
