I’m not that new to Minecraft, but I’m an older person who didn’t grow up with it, and I still have lots to learn.
My favourite things to do in the game is explore the overworld and to get to the bottom of massive caves. Caves have been easy: dig slowly, lots of torches. Overworld not so much.
Exploring the overworld has a few problems for me: - I almost got lost multiple times in my current save. And the first time I played, I got completely lost and had to delete. How do I not get lost? Even if I use torches, over time, torches end up everywhere. - Travel is kind of slow. So exploring nearby is fine, but long journeys take a long time to get back home. Is that just part of the game? There’s no form of fast travel? - Are there better and worse spawns for finding biomes and villages? I am surrounded by mangrove, jungle, and a flattish, low hills biome. I’d like to find other biomes, desert especially. And no villages! Will I eventually find other biomes and villages? Or could I randomly have ended up without them?
Thanks for any help.
