The tribalism here is intense

Honestly the hostility towards anyone who doesn’t play minecraft in the exact way “the majority” play it is extremely antisocial, rude and counterproductive to fostering the sense of community both minecraft and Reddit are meant to. Seriously why does anyone have to rip at another person because they play a different version, use different controls, aren’t as good as you yet, etc? Like can y’all just TRY to be kind and nice to each other, or is it really that much more fun to be hateful? Like this is a forum for a video game, can’t we make sure everyone is having fun here?

For context, I’m a disabled person who plays bedrock on iPad, because it’s the only accessible way for me to play. I’m not sure why whenever someone posts about PE or Bedrock on here, we get downvoted or talked down to. Can anyone explain what the hate towards us is about?
