 | I honestly don’t see why they didn’t just go direction instead. 1) An animated movie would’ve cost less than a live action one and the movie STILL would’ve gotten the same profits as its the minecraft movie, everyone would’ve seen regardless of what type of adaptation it was. 2) It could’ve easily been a trilogy that could be expanded on. First two music videos could’ve been the first movie, the third could’ve been the second, and fourth could’ve been the third. With the fifth music video being a prequel or something. I don’t see how they could expand on the universe of the live action movies any further than a sequel. 3) The music videos already had the framework for a great story. It’s a simple saving the world from evil plot but if directed and done right it could’ve been really good. It’s pretty well crafted for just a youtube music video series. 4) it’s obvious that some higher ups in mojang KNOW about this music video series as many things from the nether in the actual game took inspiration from captain sparklez’s music videos so it boggles my mind that this idea wasn’t brought up or mentioned at all when developing the movie. submitted by /u/Ambitious_Freedom551 [link] [comments] |
