Welcome to The High Seas SMP server!
The High Seas SMP is all about giving players a long-term place to stay. After many years of going through servers after server I decided it was time to found a place where I didn't have to worry about it suddenly being gone. This is a place to stay. Now, that's easy for me to say, but I hope that everyone who joins will eventually have that same feeling.
We are all adults. We have plenty of responsibilities and obligations in the real world. That’s why I don’t expect too much from you. Even if you are just someone who comes online every once in a while you are welcome to join us. That said, there are no guardrails in place either: you can go as fast as you want as well.

Why The High Seas SMP
There are so many Minecraft servers out there, why choose The High Seas SMP?
The server was founded for the sole reason of offering a long-term place to stay for any type of Minecraft player. The High Seas SMP offers a semi-vanilla experience where both technical and creative players can enjoy themselves to the fullest, no funky redstone mechanics (like PaperMC) or low view distance where you can't even admire your builds anymore. This server provides full vanilla experience with some small additions to make the game more enjoyable, this server doesn't have claims, MMO systems, TP, or admin shops, and it never will.
A concern for many is that their hard work will be lost due to server resets or greifing by other players. To counter act greifing we have automatic backups in place and various systems to make sure your builds are safe, every block interacted by a player gets logged and can easily be restored. The High Seas SMP has been around for over 2 years now, we don't plan on going anywhere, so you can be confident your builds won't vanish like on other SMPs.

Seasonal content
We've recently introduced seasonal content to our server to keep things fresh and interesting, seasonal content adds on to the vanilla experience without needing a server reset.
The High Seas Season 1
With the launch of The High Seas SMP Season 1 we have added a whole new dimension called “Incendium”, this new dimension is full of new biomes, structures, puzzles and a new boss fight! This new dimension is accessible with a couple of pre-generated portals found in various locations around the world.
The High Seas Season 2
Season 2 introduces The Bracken Pack, it adds 11 dimensions each adding new items and weapons to the game, all of which are server sided meaning you won't need to install anything to be able to play!
Some of these dimensions are accessible by flying up to build limit in the overworld or caving down to bedrock, others have specific conditions you must meet before they open up to you. Beware, entering these dimensions can be dangerous, try to bring an elytra, a water bucket or some slow falling potions with you to ensure a safe entry!

Regular backups and mods (that do not interfere with the vanilla experience) to detect cheaters and rollback any damages. Your builds are safe here. No second changes for players that decide to cheat, steal or grief.
