The Frontier Discord
18+/Whitelisted/modded/Fantasy Roleplay Server/Java
This is a fantasy RP SMP Server where character choices, alliances, and discoveries influence the server’s evolving lore.
You don’t need to stay in character 24/7, but roleplay is the heart of the experience.
You'll miss out on a lot of experiences if you do not RP.
Time Zones
Most of our players are currently in CST, but all time zones are welcome!
We’re hoping to expand more so our EST players don't feel so alone.
Server Progression
To facilitate roleplay, the server will gradually expand every two weeks as follows:
October 4: Server starts with a world border of 1500 (750 each direction),
(Saturday, October 4, 2025 12:00 PMSaturday, October 4, 2025 12:00 PM)
October 18: Nether Opens,
November 1: World border expands to 10,000 (5k each) and difficulty changes to Hard,
November 15: End opens
Character Death
Permanent death is optional, you choose the level of risk for your RP. The point is to have fun.
Kill off your character or Don't!
When you die your items will be locked for 10 mins in a grave only you can touch.
World Lore
The Frontier has a number of races created by the community and your welcome to create your own unique race yourself.
The world is trapped inside a living Wall, one that seems to breathe in and out. Some fear the day it might shrink so tightly it crushes us all. Along side that, strange Wither paintings are appearing in homes, there's a sense that some of the community is keeping secrets.
We have to work together if we’re going to survive but not everyone can be trusted.

LORE UPDATE
The Price of Freedom,
Before a sea of witnesses, Elandria proclaimed that a sacrifice to the Wither would open up the wall, and that Iacov was prepared to sacrifice his life for the cause.
Iacov pulled the levers on his own life. Every soul presence felt a withering effect, and blacked out for a moment.
The sacrifice was a success... or was it?
The Wall has expanded by 500 blocks each direction.
