mojang: does some reskinning of currently existing assets and content to make a fun little april fools updates
community: now why can't this be the content ALL the time??
Controversial Opinion, but it really does feel like yall just want quantity over quality with how some people are lowkey coming for Mojang over this update.
Is it fun? Yes! And that's great but at the end of the day it's reskinning of existing assets and content. (with some little addons here and there) AND THAT'S FINE TOO, it's an update for april fools im not expecting perfection.
I won't blame anyone for being mad at Mojang, I can't control yall but if you really think this entire thing could pass for an entire legitimate update, I genuinely can't understand you. The new updates take time because they at least want it to be good and unique. And what's good will almost always be subjective but hey! At least they're putting time and effort into making it new and interesting.
The amount of people losing their minds over the AMOUNT of content more than the quality of it is p :/
But that's just me.
The grappling hook is p sick though, I won't blame anyone for still wanting that.
EDIT: I don't know how companies work lmao
EDIT 2: when i say reskinning, i do mean more than just mobs and blocks. i mean that the place to find the boss is a recreation of the bastion remnant, that the way to find portals are same way you find the end frame the frying pan is cool as hell but it's a reskin of the campfire. gameplay deserves more than just a simple reskin.
