 | Hey y’all! I’ve built several other lighthouses, but last night my gf wanted to see if I could build a lighthouse in a colonial spanish style, so I built it. Some people create beautiful pixel art and castles, however I consider accurately building lighthouses my own art form. It’s a coastal (1st order) lighthouse (ntm fictional, but is named Punta Alvarez Light Station, attached to Punta Alvarez village which is also fictional). Also in the village is a small spanish church & a small spanish fort. The village was not initially intended to become this large but turned out pretty impressive. Mods were used to give me more block choices and light systems, and allowed for me to build structures quickly. Shaders too via Optifine. The tower is built as a first order coastal lighthouse would, with a first order fresnel lens at the top that uses an interval signal timer to allow a ease of use & simple signal of .50 sec flash every 6 seconds. submitted by /u/CassJai [link] [comments] |
