Watching a blind playthrough and it's excruciating watching the player try to figure out potions with no help from a recipe book or even from the advancements tab.
With all the work that Mojang have made to include world hints to the player so googling can theoretically be avoided (ruined portals, redstone around the world, etc) it's frustrating seeing this part of the game being completely neglected. On the basis of not including a recipe book, I don't even know what all the recipes are and I've been playing for 14 years. How can anyone be expected to know that warts are the basis of potion making?
This feels like more than a major oversight, it's neglect.
