Randomizing Thread List Widget Results

I am trying to figure out how to randomize the widget New Threads to randomize the output based on the number of threads in a select forum. I am using the New Threads widget and am looking at the thread_list_macros template. I assume hopefully I can edit the macro to get the results. I am hoping to figure this out but I am wondering if anyone else has tried to randomize the output on a list widget.
