Thought people may enjoy some steps to match my insane Minecraft skill:
- Dig a tunnel to trap the Wither underground
- Spawn the Wither
- Panic as its starting explosion opens the tunnel up into the largest cave ever seen, not trapping the Wither at all
- Attempt to fire arrows into its face while cowering in fear behind a wall
- Run out of arrows
- Spend so long trying to hit the out-of-reach Wither with low-durability sword that it regenerates all its health
- Take ages regretting past decisions, long enough for the Wither to run away to a mineshaft, then chase after it
- While getting a few good hits on the Wither, get jumped on by a witch who throws poison and takes you down to half a heart
- While running away trying to find the tunnel, have the Wither notice and chase after you, blowing up you and all your enchanted diamond stuff
- Blow even more stuff up trying to get it back before the despawn timer, and die again
- Cry
On the bright side it's always nice to be reminded why I don't play Hardcore. Unfortunately there is now a rampant Wither underneath my base and I worry he is going to surface and blow everything up D:
