I just read someone complain on a mcyt's discord server about him not checking dms and how he 'doesn't give a shit' about his community. Like, you all realise that minecraft youtubers, and a bunch of other content creator's, have lives outside of social media, friends and family to attend to irl?? it's depressing how some people expect their favourite youtuber with tonnes of subscribers to check their discord frequently for notifications in their server. NO??? If mcyt's were to like every post about them on twitter, or watch every video about them on tiktok and comment, I don't think they would have time to do their job. Just please remember next time you go to complain about your favourite youtuber not replying to you on discord or not replying enough, they're trying to make quality content for you and also trying to balance hours of editing and video recording with real life and mental health. Just because they're a youtuber or tiktoker or whatever doesn't mean their whole life revolves around social platforms.
