Think about it, Phantoms aren't hard to avoid, they are just a hassle. Late game I don't even bother sleeping or fighting them off, I just let them knock me around a bit because I'm too laze to bother with them.
Gathering lots of resources isn't hard, it just takes forever of doing tons of monotonous work.
Beating the enderdragon isn't a hard process, it's just a hassle to explode the crystals then wack it a few times.
The trial chambers were something I was super excited for because they looked genuinely challenging without just being a hassle but after completing litreraly 15 of them without getting a heavy core I gave up. Sure they chambers are fun but getting the Mace is just a hassle, not a challenge.
Equipment breaking doesn't provide any meaningful depth, it's just an Annoyance every couple min until you can get mending and unbreaking
Pretty much everything in this game feels like a clunky hassle not a fun challenge. The only exceptions I can think of are places like the ancient city and the bastions.
Not sure how to fix it, I just needed to rant cause this game is annoying me.
