Just found out that there's a 5x5x3 box above the obsidian end spawn that deletes everything on it

was playing my main survival world and wanted to build an exp farm, so I put the shulkers I needed and the ender chest on the obsidian platform. I needed more materials so I exited the end. and coming back, everything was gone, my fully enchanted tools, my building blocks and construction materials all poof.

just so everyone else that reads this don't suffer the same mistake that I did. I hope it helps
