Is there a way to link to the post thread page such that it loads with a specific prefix selected?

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to code a specific link on my site, such that when it's clicked it loads the post thread page (forum_post_thread template) with a specific prefix selected. So, I'm not looking to set a default prefix. I don't want a default prefix. I just want users to be able to click a specific link - separate from the normal "post thread" button - that will load the post thread page with a specific value automatically populated for the prefix.

Is this possible?
