| So I was on YT and came across a community post that asked if anyone thought we would get another variant of the torch. I thought about the very anticipated (and hopefully happening) end update and figured that they would probably add some sort of purple torch or lantern to the end. Like how soul torches are for the nether. Cesium burns purple. Like how copper burns green. Cesium is a silvery goldish metal that reacts with water. Endermen get hurt by water and there is no water in the end. So it makes sense in that way too. It can be used as a new building block, lighting medium, and as a new alternative to TNT. If water touched cesium blocks and its variants, it would instantly explode. Though it shouldn't be found on the main end island to avoid cheesing the ender dragon. The only thing is that it would be dangerous to build with and cesium has a melting point of about room temperature. Though if we ignored the melting point (Minecraft isn't that logical anyway) and we used its building blocks in the nether (no risk of water there), in the end (Just being careful where you place water buckets), and in the overworld (Shaded/covered to avoid rain and also being careful where you place water buckets), it could be a really neat late game thing. It also just makes soooo much sense for the end. It also follows the copper torch logic so it blends in nicely Or we just ditch the whole new building block aspect and its just used as a lighting medium. But that seems boring Or the whole reactivity to water is ignored instead Bit of a complicated idea but I think its a neat and unique one submitted by /u/TheJerseyDeviI [link] [comments] |
