how do they let bedrock exist like this

I'm primarily a Java player, and because several of my friends don't have a pc, i've got a bedrock realm going, currently im so frustrated ive logged onto reddit to complain. on EASY, the nether is so impossibly dangerous, i am frequently unable to build long nether pathways without dying multiple times because magma cubes are unkillable without being hit several times,and ghast fireballs have to much latency to to hit back with any meaningful consistency, and the lack of the combat update in general make me simultaneously bored and frustrated. How does Mojang/Microsoft let you guys suffer with an inferior product like this? how do you deal with the nether when a full set of iron and a shield wont let you do what you need to?
