Forum not sending emails (but ACP does)

My SMTP package had expired as I had forgotten to renew.
Forum stopped sending emails.

Now I have renewed the SMTP service, but Forum system is still not sending emails (account confirmation, Contact Us form, Watched threads).
However, I can send mails from ACP > Users > Email Users.

Tried both, SMTP as well as the 'Default' Email Transport Methods.

Shared hosting on GoDaddy. Still on XF 1.5.16.

Any ideas ?
