The Ethis SMP
An SMP with a lot to offer! Our key goals are to enjoy time alongside others, create a world worth remembering, and let our creativity flow. Minecraft is a game that lets you spread your wings out wide and create anything you could ever dream of. But this is all best with friends, so let me convince you why our server is the best fit for you.
To make sure you get the most out of our server, we have all that you need:
- A warm, welcoming community, ready to accept you with open arms and form new friendships
- Proximity voice chat to further fun interactions between members
- Gamenights to provide some breaks from only Minecraft, letting you get used to the community and add some extra spice
- No TPAs/Homes or land claims. We stick true to the vanilla experience
- A shopping district to buy and sell anything you can dream up, with an economy not yet fully formed, so there to be taken advantage of
- A semi fresh world. Started in January with a beautiful spawn, but still lots of great areas to build
- An active staff team alongside grief prevention mods
- A strong Fabric based server running a Ryzen 3950x with 12gb of ram
Before you join, let me explain the whitelist process. We’re testing a new way to add people. Instead of letting people directly into the Minecraft server, we’re going to let them join the Discord first and get to know everyone through gamenights and the like. Here, they'll meet other people joining for the first time and make a few friends. Then, on the first weekend of the month, we’ll open the flood gates, and let all the new members in at the same time. We’re hoping this achieves a “first day” feel for everyone, and that it'll be more fun for everyone.
