Let’s be honest here, who’s actually going to bring their dog on adventures just to watch them survive an extra 10 seconds before dying anyway?
The vast majority of people are just going to spend and hour looking for armadillos and farming the scutes just to make one piece of dog armour for their dog that will probably never leave their house.
The Extendo Grip is far more useful for the average player and will get tons more use over the long term.
Anyone who is serious about exploring knows that bringing a dog along is a massive inconvenience, you’re basically just babysitting your dog.
Whereas anyone who’s serious about building knows that extra range when building is a massive benefit.
Even if you are set on dog armour, do you really want it to be made of “scute”? Horses get diamond, iron, gold, and leather. If we skip the armadillo we’ll probably get real dog armour down the line anyway.
