Do you think 'cheating' in a survival world is partly responsible for people getting bored of their world easily?

I've had a few discussions recently with players that get bored of their survival worlds after a couple of weeks. They usually mention how they dupe or spawn items into their world to skip past parts of the game that they find boring or just to save time.

As someone who once duped items back in about 2013 and instantly lost interest in my world, I wonder if it's not just a coincidence that some people who 'cheat' seem to quickly lose interest in their world. (I'm not claiming everyone who has ever duped somthing instantly loses interest) It just seems to remove a bunch of potential fun projects.

Like, you never need to go exploring caves for diamonds if you just spawn diamonds in.

You never need to learn the mechanics of villagers and put some time into a cool looking and functional villager trading hall if you just give yourself the best stuff from creative.

You don't need to build a wood farm if you just dupe it.

There's a bunch of examples of projects that can be skipped over if people get too into duping. I've always thought some of the grindy projects like collecting sand is pretty chill and adds to my satisfaction when the project I need it for is finally complete.
