| I see a lot of people imagining the overworld, nether, and end dimension in a vertical plane with the end on the top, overworld in the middle, and nether on the bottom. But I imagine that the Overworld is on top, Nether on the bottom, and the End Dimension is on another axis relative to time. So imagine a XY Axis with the End on right, and the overworld and Nether top and bottom. I think it would make sense for the End to be relative to time like the overworld is over and the Nether can be under. So if Mojang were to add a new dimension, they could add The Beginning which in my opinion would be the End Dimension before the dragon and obsidian towers: showing signs of grass and dirt that the world is forming together. But even better than The Beginning would be The Origin. If the dimensions are shaped into a XY Axis you’d see the Player is set in the period of time between the Origin Point and The End. The Overworld is over the world, so what is the regular world? I would say the Origin Point. What if the world we have been playing isn’t the real world this whole time and the real world is set in the End Dimension which follows time? The Origin would be the point in time when the End Dimension was in its golden age, with The Beginning and End being the two extremes when it was barren. Sorry for the long rant, I just wanted to share how I would go about adding dimensions if I worked at Mojang. Edit: I am sorry for the circle being off center as I did not expect the post to reach these numbers. Also the y axis is space, and the x axis is time. submitted by /u/Dimseal [link] [comments] |
