DemocracySMP Launches TODAY!!
DemocracySMP is a new kind of Minecraft survival server — one that’s not run by moderators or owners, but by the players themselves. Launching on May 9th, this server is designed to be governed like a real country, where you decide how power works, who gets it, and what they can do with it.
What Is DemocracySMP?
DemocracySMP is a vanilla survival server (running 1.21.5 Paper) with a few light quality-of-life datapacks. But what really makes it unique is the structure:
No central rulebook – you create the laws
No moderators with special power – leadership is earned, not assigned
No pay-to-win – fairness is built in
No admin intervention in gameplay. Only managing players doing hate speech or using cheats. Anything else is player run and decided
Here, you and other players:
Draft a real, binding constitution
Elect your own leaders, governments, or parliaments
Enforce rules through systems you define
Debate, campaign, and vote to shape the world over time
This server is built for debates, decisions, and elections — not chaos.
What’s Happening Now?
We’re currently:
Accepting founding members
Opening candidacy for the first election
We start playing at 20:30 CET may 9th
Who It’s For
If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a functioning in-game society, where decisions aren’t made by staff but by the community, this is for you. Whether you want to run for office, propose laws, or just build under a system you helped create, you’re welcome here.
Age requirement: 16+ We expect maturity, critical thinking, and a willingness to participate in shaping something different.
