We just opened Early Access and we're looking for founding players.

Calito Nations is a survival civilization server built around one idea: politics should have consequences. We wrote two custom plugins from scratch to make that happen — and the result is a server where elections use ranked-choice voting, residents can petition to impeach their mayor, towns can form secession coalitions to break away from oppressive nations, and political neglect triggers spontaneous rebellions.

Here's what the gameplay loop actually looks like:

🏛️ Found a town. Choose how it's governed.

Pick from five government types — Autocracy, Oligarchy, Constitutional Monarchy, Republic, or Direct Democracy. Each one changes your real costs (upkeep, land claims, expansion). Direct Democracy is the cheapest to run but the mayor literally cannot kick a resident without holding a vote. Autocracy lets you rule with an iron fist but drains your treasury.

🗳️ Elections that matter.

Full ranked-choice voting. No spoiler candidates, no wasted votes. Your vote weight depends on how long you've lived in the town, how much gold you've put into the treasury, and how recently you've been active. Political veterans have more influence than newcomers — but there's a cap so nobody dominates.

⚡ Tension builds. Rebellions happen.

Every town has a tension score (0–100). Bad governance, contested elections, diplomatic hostilities — they all push it up. At critical levels, things break: impeachment petitions spawn automatically, residents defect, towns launch secession movements against their own nation. You can't just claim the mayor title and AFK.

⚔️ Siege warfare with permanent stakes.

Nations can siege enemy towns through scheduled weekend battle sessions. Win and you plunder the town, then occupy it — collecting 65% of their daily resource production. Lose and you forfeit your warchest. Occupied towns can fight back through revolt sieges. Up to 3 concurrent sieges per nation.

🌿 A custom herb economy.

Three rare herbs to cultivate, each with environmental quality mechanics (biome, light, spacing, weather all affect star rating). Process them, sell at dynamic prices that shift with supply and demand, or consume them for powerful buffs — at the risk of addiction, tolerance, and overdose.

💰 Gold-standard economy.

Money = gold you physically mine. Daily extraction limits prevent monopolies (yes, there's a hard cap of 4 diamonds per day). The Nether floods with gold, making it the economic engine — and controlling Nether territory becomes a strategic objective.
