Almost 2 weeks in and I have been VERY busy

Hey guys! I made a post last week of a castle and bridge-city I made for my daughter who got me into Minecraft, and wanted to share what l've been working on this week to add to the valley below the bridge and castles!

So far I have:

  • (1 ) massive totem? Pole? Gate? (Idk I was free flowing it and that’s what I got lol)

  • (1) tunnel through a mountain to the from the gate to the (1) 90° Roman City gate inspired by u/Gutty_Live

  • (1) igloo fishing hut and (1) hermit crab house(built from loosely followed tutorials)

  • (2) diagonal houses(was super proud I figured out how to make a successful first one and decided to make another one that was even..diagonal-er..)

  • (5) multilevel houses (including the first diagonals one)

  • (3) short houses

Been super-fun learning how to build more efficiently and learning and trying to replicate different building styles that l've found on Reddit (my only real source for inspiration, l've only watched 2 YouTube videos on Minecraft so far for the crab and igloo) and wanted to share! I haven't played with mechanics like "fill brick" (not even sure you can do that on console) or "pick block" and really not even sure if I want to look into them because honestly zoning in and laying everything brick by brick is borderline therapeutic for me, and I worry about getting builds done too fast and running out of ideas to build/getting burnt out on something I really enjoy doing for my kiddo. I need some help with how to make the tunnel feel more alive, and what kind of things I can add to the village to make it more "village-like".

Sorry for the wall of text! But I wanted to come to y'all to share and ask for advice because from what I see posted you're all frickin KINGS and I want perspective from some of the best on how to build villages and cities better. All critiques, recommendations, suggestions, advice guides, criticisms, etc. are all happily welcome! Thanks so much in advance!
