 | I bought Minecraft ~16 years ago when it was in Beta, built the dirt house and then upgraded to a wooden house. Honestly, didn't quite "get it" at the time, and put it back on the shelf for a while. A few years later I met some new people who played MC on and off, and we started playing together, I guess as a creative outlet, and I sort of found my jam, building farms for a long time and lots and lots of underground bases because I wasn't happy with the look of what I build from the outside. Played on a few servers for a while until I eventually put it back on the shelf. Around ~8 years ago I then started playing a 2-person SMP with an old friend of mine where we've been popping in and out whenever a creative spark or new updates/drop hits, slowly building out our bases, farms and so on. During COVID my wife was bored, watching TV in our office where I'd be playing a lot of MC after work during that time, and eventually she jumped on-board and joined our SMP. Lately our child / demon spawn has started showing an interest in MC, and she has played a little herself, so we decided to go to the Villager Rescue, and oh boy! She had a wonderful time, biggest issue was to explain to her why we couldn't just go again  It is a wonderful, indescribable feeling getting to share something that has been with me so long, first with my partner and now also our child as well.
