RPGRegions

MC Plugin RPGRegions 1.4.96
Utilise your protection plugin to create skyrim-like discoverable regions

  • Added support for 26.1+
    • Removed support for versions prior to 1.20.
  • Fixed display info of potion effect value in editor.
  • Fixed future-swallowed null error causing editor UI to never finish loading.
  • Updated various dependencies.
  • Further compatibility fixes with latest Paper
  • Updated dependencies
  • Updated for 1.21.10
  • Fixed compatibility with latest Paper.
As promised, this version adds support for a new integration: Orbis. This is now the recommended integration instead of the default RPGRegions one.

However do note it only supports 1.21.4+. More information can be found at https://github.com/EmpireWar/Orbis. (Make sure to use DEVELOPMENT builds)

If you are currently using the default integration, you will receive a deprecation warning on startup with instructions - including how to disable the deprecation warning. The default integration will, however, continue to work forever.

A new API version (1.4.92) was released alongside this version, which exposes the RPGRegions integration classes to the API module.
  • Added support for Orbis
  • Exposed RPGRegions integration classes to the API.
  • Bumped dependencies
In other news I have been working on a free and open source, modern alternative to WorldGuard which RPGRegions will begin using as the default and recommended integration in a future version coming soon. More info will come then!

The current inbuilt integration will still be supported, but deprecated and won't receive any new features. I will look into whether a migration tool can be added.
  • Added 1.21.4 support
  • Fixed issues with initialising MySQL databases migrations
Please note that I have tried my best to maintain backwards compatibility with previous Minecraft versions. However, Spigot has significantly changed the API in recent updates and I may be required to bump the minimum required server version in the future.
This is a maintenance update only which adds support for 1.20.4+.
Additionally, the command framework has been migrated from Cloud 1 to 2 and the project build structure has been redone.
API version 1.4.7 has also been published, although I don't believe there are any major changes.
As always, remember to report any issues or feature requests on the Discord.
Important! Backup your database and RPGRegions folder before installation.

1.4.6 introduces QoL improvements, documentation rewrite, and a major new feature.

Documentation rewrite
The new documentation can be found at https://fortitude.islandearth.net/category/rpgregions. This new site has a better search feature and superior navigation to the old site (though it shall be missed).

Fauna
Fauna is a new feature that allows you to add discoveries for entities. RPGRegions also adds a bestiary - similar to the discoveries GUI, but instead a book detailing what animals the player has discovered.

Find out more at https://fortitude.islandearth.net/rpgregions/flora-fauna.
QoL
The major QoL changes include:
  • Timed region discovery is now persisted to the user account
  • Added removepos command to the RPGRegions integration
  • Added the ability to set custom sounds on region discovery
  • Finished implementing adventure/hex colours in places where it was not yet possible
