Basic Description:

Man, this build took waaaay longer than anticipated. Those who followed my progress know why that was the case, so I'm not going to expound on it, nor bring up the cursed loadshedding that conveys a range of difficulties for South African citizens at present. That being said, I'll keep the breakdown minimal by reason of the bulk of what is presented on this canvas. If pictures does not do the build justice, you are free to watch the YT walkthrough for an expansive view on what has been created, though with the exclusion of hidden areas purposed for self exploration. I usually do a raw walkthrough, so if my movements sucks, you'll just have to get used to my imperfections lol.

Breakdown:
This particular build was inspired or envisioned by one of my Patrons. The basis was not wholly gothic, but an amalgamation of the classical ideals with a revival overtone. I'm aware that rib vaulting, arches, and flying buttresses are the usual associations adhered to this style of building. However, the lack thereof in this case is a deliberate absence, favoring a mixture of gothic and classical tendencies instead of the traditional expression cooked by the architect and materialized by the Mason with an emphasis on one particular style. No reference image were conveyed, but the descriptive style and layout was enough to work with.

Though I was very tempted to add a lot of raise and drop to the geography, an attempt at doing so produced too much confusion amidst the detail that were already established throughout the building process. Cluttering the environment is always a neat concept when a medieval baseline beckons, but it can just as easily ruin the flow of how the infrastructure blends with its surroundings, a consequence that produce too much drama in a select scene if it was not purposed to project such an outcome.

Initially intended to be dressed with a much harder and lightly tinted stone, I decided to rather go for a darker palette, a complimentary addition to the atmosphere of the build, and a preference that gloriously primed the former implements from my perspective.
Instead of traditional gables and modular walls, I focused on curves and diagonals with mansard and hip roofs for all the residences, creating a contrast between the modular central feature and the houses. Semi-hobbit abodes were contemplated and partially implemented without swerving too far away from a level of realism despite not being sure why we have to be formal on a sandbox game that essentially allows you to do your own thing despite being self-constricted by means of consensus. If you want to build a diamond blocked roof, why not!

A total of 20 houses with unique interiors were erected around a monastery that qualifies its students in the field of history, worship, writing, and the arcane arts; hypothetically envisioned of course. Every single house were carefully crafted to look unique, containing a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a couple of scattered books with random knowledge and stories. I've also hid five books that collectively complete a download link to a tier three build (ROTS) that you can download for free. Basically a high tier build with a lower tier membership (1$).
Hidden and common chests where also applied within the confines of the build's perimeters, often very difficult to find if you're planning on mindlessly roaming the build without picking up on clues and book entries, of which can be found in underground channels as well.

The upper floor of the barn were converted to a living space that will at least house two players with bedding, storage and a kitchen. The Blacksmith were a late addition to the build, but a fundamental part of the lifeblood of a community that is ready to take the next step towards technological advancement.
Though there is a lot more to expand upon, I'll leave the rest open for interpretation on YouTube.
