So Minecraft is a pretty old game, and the (on average) 'way' its played has changed with updates and content drops.... But what are some of your habits that show your 'old player'-ness?
I have a few, One is that I simply *don't* use the Elytra. Not out of principle or or willful challenge just out of being unable to figure out its timing and not seeing the need. I still primarily use old school transport: Railways, Nether tunnels, and nether railways. Post end I *do* add pearls but typically I just build fixed transport/infrastructure to anywhere I need to go regularly.
Going into a portal, riding a rail 200~ blocks and portaling out is my go to over flying the 1,600 blocks in the overworld.
Another that REALLY shows my age is that I still grab the mossy cobble from dungeons. Even though I KNOW its not special anymore and we can craft it, and I run right past it in the tall Taiga biome that has big boulders of it... but for whatever reason inside a dungeon I look at the mossy cobble and think 'Yes, these blocks are special, I should take them.'
And I suppose this counts but despite the drastically higher density of pre-built structures I still broadly prefer to dig a hidey hole for my first night.
Do you have any habits from older Minecraft that you retain despite being outmoded by newer methods?
