Why I feel every challenge up until the trial chambers has always had the same problem.

The nether, deep dark, and end citys all have the same problem of just making me feel like I have to take the minimum amount of stuff on me so I don’t lose it.

The nether is kind of easy enough to go through even without armor and kind of has the problem in the entire dimension.

-bridging is not that hard and is kind of a skill check but just in case I don’t bring anything other then a pickaxe and blocks

- When I go to a bastions I literally only have iron and gold so I can grab an upgrade temp or make a farm (which then I also only have stuff for the farm stuff.).

- The fortresses are really not that challenging when you have good things. you kind of just run around killing wither skeletons. Even then it’s kind of a problem here too.

-netherite mining is not a challenge and is the only time I really carry full armor and gear.

The end city’s are kind the same were you really only need a good bow, shield, and iron tools

(I get that netherite wasn’t in the game yet but diamond was)

And the deep dark tbh you might as well not have anything on you except wool and a pickaxe. Maybe you can bring pants with swift sneak after you get that, but still.

The thing is none of these are good challenges because if you die there is no punishment except losing the stuff you found in the structures but even that’s not that bad for the most part ( and you could just bring a ender chest anyways ). But if you bring good stuff it’s very annoying to lose things so you might as well not bring them

What makes the trial chamber so good is not only does it force you to bring good gear. You also have a chance of losing that gear.

It just feels like non of these challenges get you to engage in the challenges the way they want you to and when you are going to do it you just minimize risk so you don’t have any consequences of losing anything.
