Why do people care so much about realism?

I don't understand why so many people care if an updates are realistic or not. We are talking about a game where there are Zombie, Skeletons etc. We are talking about a game which has hell in it and you can access it through a portal. We are talking about a game which has a huge *** dragon in a a floating island called "The End" which far away has many more islands with huge cities and floating ships. We are talking about a game which has an "enchantment table" which allows you to enchant your equipment with magic. Enchantment books and Golden Apples/Enchanted Golden Apples fall in this category aswell. We are talking about a game with so many mysterious structures below ground. We are talking about a game that has the "Deep Dark" a biome that is basically a horror part of the game. We are talking about a game which has a little golden totem which allows you to cheat death no matter what. And probably so much more I missed.

And yet you care about realism. Someone make a suggestion or Mojang posts an update and some of you go "but that's not realistic"
