Most Minecraft servers throw away their history. When things get stale, they hit wipe, delete everyone's hard work, and force you to punch trees on a generic seed again.
We didn't do that. We built an actual survival story out of our server's history.
Vesper SMP is a strictly 16+ application-only Vanilla+ server launching its Act 2 in early June. We are opening up whitelist spots right now for outside adventurers who want to get in early and witness the world change.
Re-Engineered Vanilla+ Progression
We love vanilla survival, but end-game stagnation ruins servers. Everything on Vesper is designed to feel like an official Mojang update, rendered completely through an automatic server resource pack:
- The End is Locked: Rushing the Ender Dragon on day one to ruin the progression curve is completely blocked.
- Custom Questing For Elytras & Shulkers: Because the End is closed, high-tier loot like Elytras and Shulker boxes are unlocked through dedicated story quests instead of a generic boss rush.
- Interactive World Altars: Progression is tied directly to the world. Maintain a login streak at our custom Shrine for daily status buffs, or risk offering items at the corrupted Shulker Altar to raise your odds for extra shells.
- End-Game Relics: Work toward meaningful, functional server artifacts, like custom-engineered boots that grant true flight.
- A Living NPC Roster: Explore distinct spawn districts filled with dozens of custom NPCs running a complex, branching dialogue system that changes based on world events.
The Hook: You are arriving right before the storm
You aren't jumping into a world where everything is already finished. You are getting whitelisted just in time for the transition. right now, the server is quiet, but early next month, a massive server-wide event is going to change everything.
- The Setup: Spawn is currently pristine, but when the event triggers soon, it will be sealed under a massive barrier dome to protect it.
- The Aftermath: Once the dust settles, a crack will open in that dome. The veteran players who live through the event will become hosts to a hidden, symbiotic parasite that changes how they play.
- Your Entry: As a newcomer joining for the launch of Act 2, you are entering as an outside adventurer. You'll be completely uninfected, arriving at the dome right as it cracks to explore a world that is actively trying to figure out what just happened.
Our Onboarding
We are a tight group of builders, a few programmers, and grinders.
Because the server is under maintenance for deployment for the event, we are doing applications right now. If you want to join, I am going to personally chat with you on Discord beforehand to catch you up on the server’s past news, the event, and make sure we all adventurers are set up before launch day.
