Uroboros is a regularly developed server with lots of game overhaul in the works.
This is a passion project of mine. I would develop it just for myself, but what fun would that be? By that, I mean to say that I'm here for the long game, I have a creative vision, and if it's interesting to you, I'd love for you to be a part of it.
You don't need to take part in helping to create the world- you can just play- but the option is always there.
We have changed the approach on many things, in the attempt to improve the gaming experience and add more balance and meaningful struggle.
Examples:
- XP farms / mob farms heavily nerfed (ag farms, water harvest are ok)
- Nether / End have are accessed in a different way
- Server set to hard and that will be the "easy" areas, custom mobs and harder mobs farther from spawn
- World border for all worlds- Reputation score that decides server team (order vs. chaos) ; part of the goal here is to prevent griefing / bad behavior by giving it a valid in game path that hopefully keeps it fun for the "bad actor" and focused and meaningful instead of disruptive. (TBD)
- Rebalance of power / economy that creates needed scarcity and has a partially player-driven economy
We are a small but close community looking to keep the server sane and friendly. We write most of our features ourselves in denizen.
Currently Implemented (or mostly implemented):
- Land Claim
- Classes (so far: Champion, Wizard) (to come:Ranger, Rogue, Technomancer, Controller)
- magic
- custom powerup drops
- RPG character system with stats and skills
- minigame: Llama Drama
- buyable portals
- in game mail (with attachments!)
- claimable nether
- custom items and weapons
- custom mobs
To come:
- Area claiming game between 2 teams: order and chaos
- new achievements
- holiday events
- YOU!
