| So. this photo showecases my North Coastal Mountains, a regional area in my world situated around my cities Harlow and Alouette. It's part of a much bigger long going Minecraft project I have called Sky Pixel. To capture this image. I had five different renders, one of which rendered the terrain. The others included situating the cloud height/distance in a shader pack, and also in another shader pack I have designed for the world. It took a long time to render because I had to load in the terrain with high end shaders, and everytime I situated the height of the clouds it would have to re-render the terrain. The region is based off my home within the Pacific Northwest, a regional area that Compromises the US states of Oregon, Washington, Southern Alaska, and the Canadian Province of British Columbia. This area is known for its tall remote snow-capped mountains, large swaths of temperate rainforests which are often shrouded in fog and mist. I wanted to somehow incorporate these landscapes into my Minecraft world because they add a sense of home into the world itself. And I think they are VERY fun but also hard... to play in Survival with friends! submitted by /u/octavian_world [link] [comments] |
