I start up a new world, with tons of hope that maybe this will be the world that I stick with for more than a day or even a week. I make these big plans of doing grand adventures or building huge elaborate structures or even just small elaborate structures. But then things happen. Maybe a creeper takes hours of work and I have to go find those blocks again. Or I get killed and have to find my base because I had not yet made a bed and of course my base was 100s if not, thousands of blocks away from spawn, and I have never been great with direction in finding my way in Minecraft. Maybe I get this idea of a build in my head but I can not seem to find the exact blocks I need and start to get frustrated that I can not build what I want right this second but neither can I switch my brain to build something else because all you can think of is that first build. Or I get so stuck on the idea of the adventure of doing a challenge world or something that I end up somehow making it not fun for myself because I feel like I am doing it wrong if I suddenly switched midway of how I intended to be playing when I stated. No mater the reason the results are the same. Start world full of excitement! Get frustrated at something not going quite right. Then in the end start a new world once more with never fully looking back at my old worlds. Sometimes I look back, but usually the guilt is too great. So I am trying something a little less pressured. A cozy world with only one goal. Build small builds like camp sights and try to keep the world going for as long as possible. ( Currently have: a platform that has crafting supplies, and storage. And underneath has farmland for crops. A sleep tent that has a wool and armor barrel in it. A mine shaft that has stone storage. (Copper golem coming soon to that) And a water well. That way I do not have to climb down hill for water ever time I want it. (Though a chicken thinks it is funny to live in my well.) I do plan on adding a wall to keep mobs from the forest entering camp. Just not sure how I want to make it. Thanks for letting me share. submitted by /u/S1llyDrake [link] [comments] |
