So Kian just posted a video about his lawsuit a year later (wow a year with no updates and we get a short video but thats just base level stuff). That lawyer that he hired seems a bit odd and so I thought I would research into some stuff and well found some interestingness.
The Lawfirm
The Lawfirm is called Singularity Law. Which 1 google search only brings up the website and nothing else (red flag 1 - if you had more popularity you would have more coverage especially if you have existed since 2020 (the oldest post)). Going on the site, it looks very bare bone and has 2 posts, 1 made in March 2021 and the other in August 2020 (red flag 2 - most lawfirms create posts to promote their services, the last post being 4 years ago is not good). Scrolling down further to "Fishing" (Probably a dodgy google translate error) shows 4 links, Log in, Post flow, Comment flow, Wordpress.org.
Wordpress.com is a free website creation application that allows basically anyone to create websites. However they usually come with .wordpress.com to the end so them having .se they spent some money on it already.
Whilst creating this post, I noticed at the bottom of their page their copyright had some reference to "Lawyer zone by Acme Themes". Looking into Acme Themes seems to be some Wordpress theme website where you can buy themes. I could only find Lawyer Zone Pro and that was 55 dollars so I would say they paid that or some other one that is cheaper
The lawfirm also only has 2 people working for them. I would say that having 2 people (1 of which actually doesnt even specialise in any form of contract law and only does IT law) you are a little bit on the not doing so well side.
Moving away from website to The Swedish Bar Association
The Swedish Bar Association
Referenced in the video, it was shown the lawyer Bjorn Persson was certified in swedish bar association. This is true however he started in 2023 meaning 2 years after that last post on the website was made, he joined the company. Looking at wayback machine, the last capture was 2022 when Bjorn was reference to be "Bachelor of Law".
Referenced on IFI (What seems to be an information gathering website which I will touch on later) he was quoted for having worked at Telia as Coporate lawyer. Now someone in comments might be able to explain if you can be coporate lawyer and not have Bar but it seems weird he would be "bachelor of law" with no bar certificate in Singularity in 2022 but have a background in law as a coporate for a major telecoms company.
Also within this bar profile, he has added "Area of Law" which I can not tell if it is something the user gets to add or if the website adds it for you but nothing in that has written done Contract Law. (red flag 3 - wouldnt you add if you list your area of law that you do contract law as its a pretty big sector?)
Now the address for the lawfirm on the Bar website leads to just someones house in the middle of the countryside which is not registered on Google Maps to actually house a company in it.. Now whilst Google Maps is not a reliable source of knowledge for this, it is odd.
IFI
As mentioned already, I found the lawyer on IFI. On this the first line reads as following "Bjorn is an entrepreneur in a limited liability company Finit". Finit is never actually mentioned anywhere else besides this post and I can not find what finit this post is talking about as there is many. If anyone can reach out to any Finit's in sweden to see if they can find out what company this could be and if this is still accurate that would be great.
Overall:
I would say don't hold your breath on this lawsuit working out. This lawyer and the lawfirm is just red flags. Also the idea 1 guy is going up against a coporate and its lawyers is something that I do not see going well even with a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. This is either a big quick grab money scheme for Kian or the lawyer or both. The fact we waited a year for an update as it was getting "lawyer approved" and the video was short and edited so badly (which kian claims is cause its youtube reach which is not a good excuse) this just is not looking good for anyone who has put money up for this.
