The Anchor is an improved Semi-Vanilla experience always looking for new players!
We strive to give a different experience from what you get from other servers, but still "anchor down" the Vanilla feeling so many crave in a traditional SMP. Below you can see some of the features we like to highlight on The Anchor:
Server-Wide Events
As of today, April 28th; we've started our first server competition! In it we have players competing to break / place the most blocks with exclusive rewards for the top 5 players; including unique winner's tags, in-game money, tracker titles, and a 'Champion's Pickaxe' only obtainable through the event. It ends May 6th, so you have more than enough time to jump in and try it out for yourself!
Permanent Overworld / Resource World
Everything done in the our main world stays as is to show what we hope is a very long and rich history. If Mojang releases a major update, or one where new biomes can be found; the border is expanded! To offer players the ability to gather large resources without destroying excessive land in the Overworld; we offer Resource Worlds which reset bi-monthly.

Graves / Homes / Warps
Anything that is added to the already existent Vanilla experience, is purely out of convenience to the players; and helps make getting around that much easier. We have Graves for when you find yourself down and out in the Overworld, making sure you get a good amount of time before your items are lost. And to ensure safekeeping of additional items, we have a simplified Home System that allows for you to teleport back to any location you set down! With even more possibilities with Server-Wide Warps, we'll leave it for you to discover on your own...
Playtime Ranks
We want our players to feel that if they put time into the server they play, they are rewarded and treated with the respect deserved within the community. So in exchange for longer play times, users are entrusted with more rewarding permissions that allow them to do limitless things within The Anchor!
Claims / CoreProtect
Everything you own should be protected and have it known that it's yours. With claims you can prevent players from destroying or even entering your property. Additionally, with CoreProtect anything unclaimed that you have trouble with or report can simply be rolled back to its former state if issues arise, given there's a just reason for it.
DiscordSRV
Discord is a large part of keeping the community close and aware of all that goes on, because of that we have a direct connection from the Minecraft Server to the Discord Server! With an easy verification process, you can directly link yourself between them and keep up with all Announcements, Server Updates, and Future Events; as well as obtain roles that correlate with your in-game ranks!
