I just bought my son a desktop computer. He's eager to start playing Minecraft.
The guy in the shop who built the computer for us says he needs to get on to Steam. While trying to set up an account in Steam however, Steam has us endlessly going through this cycle of supposedly proving he is not a robot by ticking boxes which show, for example bicycles or fire hydrants. The problem is this goes on forever.
What do I have to do to get him to the stage of playing?
I am not sure why I'd have to go through Steam. Can't I just Minecraft and let him start from there?
(Please remember to explain like I came from deep into the last century, because I did!)
