Tagify Questions: Force Dropdown Selection & Default Values

While I am doing my upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3, I am running into issues going from Select2 to Tagify. Long story short, I am trying to mimic two pieces of functionality.

With an AJAX powered Tagify input, I want to make sure users select an option from the dropdown. If they type "asdf", and then click out of the input, I do not want "asdf" to then show as a tag. Is there a config option for this in Tagify?
I want to provide default objects. These objects will have an ID and Title...
