Székely Gates are either: small wooden gates with a roof and dove coves, or a set of a small and a great gate under one roof. This is nearing 1:1 scale. The ratios should be, for the great gate 4 meters by 4 meters, so a carriage stacked high with hay can fit through. The small gate should be 1 meter wide, 2 meters tall - and if these ratios are broken the gates will either look too wide or too tall. They are usually ornately carved wooden gates, but may occasionally be painted. submitted by /u/BTAnonymus [link] [comments] |
