Sticking an article messes up grid count

So if I have my article layout set up as a grid that ends with 4 squares, sticking an article (sticky), for some reason, messes up the grid, even if the article is from that very page (which shouldn't matter anyway it should always show the stated number).

So nothing changes on that page for number of articles, one just moves to the top but then a square is pushed down to a new row.
