 | I’ve been expanding Sanctuary, my Minecraft worldgen mod built around the idea of starting alone in a floating world. The core concept is still the same: you begin on a single sanctuary island suspended in the void, surrounded by distant floating lands and biomes to explore. But now I’ve added more customization to the worldgen. You can choose what kind of sanctuary you want to start with, including presets like:
The idea is to let players shape the feeling of their world from the very beginning. You’re not just choosing a seed — you’re choosing the kind of isolated refuge you wake up in. I also want Sanctuary to feel more personal, so the goal is to let you choose not only the sanctuary type, but also the biome style you want for your starting island. So instead of every world beginning the same way, you can decide what kind of sanctuary you want: a lonely stone monolith, a ring-shaped ruin, a garden of vertical spires, or a scattered sky archipelago. Still aiming for that quiet, old-school Minecraft feeling of solitude, mystery, and distant exploration.
