I sincerely apologize if this is a dumb or repetitive question. I did a 20 minute internet search but I'm so unfamiliar with minecraft that it was only partially helpful. Thank you in advance for anyone who can help out this busy non-gaming parent!
Question: Can anyone share a TLDR or link on how to make mods work on minecraft ipad for my kid, ideally without paying a monthly fee?
Longer version: My 7 year old plays minecraft on his ipad, which I believe from googling means he has the minecraft PE version. I don't know if this is relevant, but he only plays solo (never on a server). He recently used his saved up tooth fairy money to purchase a mod which was supposed to allow him to turn into mobs. However, we can't figure out how to use it!
-> He was expecting 'ghost' mobs to appear after he killed them that he can use to turn into a mob but that didn't happen.
-> We found some code which we tried putting in the command window, but that doesn't work. We aren't very familiar with using commands, he's only 7.
-> I saw on a wikihow article that you need to download new apps to use mods on minecraft PE. However the recommended app (Terra - mods for minecraft PE) costs almost $10 monthly, which isn't in our budget. When I started looking at other guides like the wiki here, I got super confused by the terminology.
I'd love to be able to get mods for him of some kind, since I feel like minecraft is an awesome game for him and he is looking for some new content. THANK YOU in advance for anyone who can share their advice.
